Service Description

Do you know how to do the basic stitches in crochet, but have been wary of making wearables or accessories? Then this class is for you! Over four classes, students will learn different methods for constructing a beanie or beret. Did you know you can make a beanie top down, bottom up, or side to side? More of a Team Beret? You can use an array of stitches to create a beautiful and unique beret as well. Students will explore these different construction methods, as well as how to read crochet patterns, with our teaching artist, and learn how to create a well-fitting hat. There will be several patterns available to try. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can use your knowledge of basic hat construction to design and freestyle your own beanie or beret!
