Service Description
Our projects are designed for ages 4-14. We adjust our techniques and expectations based on each child’s age and skill level to ensure plenty of room for creativity. This program includes a half-hour lunch period, as many of our students attend the Hamilton Film Festival homeschool course prior to joining our visual arts class. Joining us for lunch is completely optional and open to all students. whether or not they are attending the film program. Schedule: • 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Lunch (please bring your own lunch — nut-free only) • 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Guided art studio session Here is an overview of the 8 week course: Week 1: Animal art (tiger in the grass using oil pastels and layering) Week 2: Mixed media flower collages with fabric and textured materials Week 3: Watercolor rainy cityscapes exploring mood and blending Week 4: Detailed insect drawings with ink and watercolor backgrounds Week 5: Landscape printmaking using foam printing techniques Week 6: Still life painting on canvas (flower vase with patterned background) Week 7: Small animal drawings (hamsters and mice) focusing on movement Week 8: Creative Choice Week — a student-led studio where artists choose their own subject and materials to create a personalized final project, building on everything they’ve learned

Cancellation Policy
I understand that if my child misses a scheduled class, no refund will be provided for that session. Ancaster Art Academy does not offer refunds or make-up classes, as materials and instructor time are reserved in advance. If class needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather there will not be a make-up scheduled. We understand that schedules can change. If a parent or guardian chooses to cancel a class before the course start date, a refund may be issued minus a $15 processing fee. Alternatively, families may choose to apply the full paid amount as a credit toward a future course or class. When selecting this option, no processing fee will be charged.
